How the thanksgiving words fit each size
50 of the 52 thanksgiving words fit the 11 × 11 easy grid. GRANDPARENTS and THANKSGIVING are too long for it, so they only turn up on the 15 × 15 medium and 19 × 19 hard grids.
16 words have five letters or fewer, PIE, YAM and SAGE among them, and those are the first ones young solvers spot. The longest, GRANDPARENTS, THANKSGIVING and CORNUCOPIA, are the last to be found.
