Connect the Dots Generator
Free, No Sign-Up

Pick a theme and a difficulty, get a numbered dot-to-dot puzzle with a matching solution, print it or download it as a PNG. Free, unlimited, nothing to install.

Free and unlimited, no account. Generated in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Every puzzle traces one connected shape, numbered in order.

How This Generator Builds Every Puzzle

Each theme is a small set of hand-drawn outlines — a star, a fish, a pumpkin, and so on. What the generator does is walk that outline and drop numbered dots along it: fewer and further apart on Easy, more and closer together on Hard. Connect them in order and the outline reappears. Generate again and you get a different point count and spacing on the same shape pool, so back-to-back puzzles don't look identical.

Always exactly one picture

The dots are numbered along a single traced path, so there's never more than one way to connect them. What you see when you tap “Show answer” is the only valid solution.

Four themes to start

Shapes, animals, holiday, and Halloween outlines are in the current pool. Each generation picks one shape from the theme you chose and a fresh dot count for the difficulty you picked.

Connect the Dots Generator FAQs

Is the connect-the-dots generator actually free?▾

Yes. One puzzle at a time, any theme or difficulty, no account, no watermark. It runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. A whole KDP-ready book of them, batched with paired solution pages, is the paid side of this site.

How many dots does each puzzle have?▾

Easy puzzles use about 18 numbered dots, medium about 32, and hard about 50. The exact count varies a little by shape, since every dot has to sit on the actual outline being traced.

Can I get the same shape at a different difficulty?▾

Yes — pick a theme, then switch difficulty and generate again. The same pool of shapes is used across difficulties; what changes is how finely the outline is subdivided into numbered dots.

Is every puzzle solvable with exactly one answer?▾

Yes. The dots are numbered in a single fixed order along one traced outline, so connecting them 1 to 2 to 3 and so on always reproduces the same picture — there's no ambiguity to solve for.

Can I use this for a book I plan to sell?▾

The free tool here is one puzzle at a time for personal or classroom use. For a KDP puzzle book, the paid KDP Creator batches numbered puzzle-and-solution page images at your chosen trim size — see the pricing page for the current plans.
